Taragalte Festival. Nomadic culture and music

Pick up in Marrakesh. We will leave for the High Atlas, through the Tizi'n Tiscka Mountain. We will continue through Ouarzazate and from there through the Draa Valley, passing through towns in the area; Zagora and Tamgroute until we reach Tagounite, where we will rest and spend the night in a traditional house. 

Three days of music festival in the town where the asphalt ends, M'hamid el Ghizlane. It is the XI edition of the Taragalte festival that is celebrated every year in the south of Morocco. A music festival that was born with the aim of contributing to socioeconomic development and the promotion of nomadic cultural heritage. Taragalte, means "meeting place", as its name indicates, it is a festival to connect with people who share their love for music, art and culture.
 

 

After breakfast and rest, we will start the trip to the heart of the desert, with the aim of reaching the Erg Chegaga camp. From where we have views of about 45km of horizon of dunes and a dune about 3 meters high. We will pass through hammada desert (stone desert) and an oasis. We will arrive at the camp, camel ride and night in haima in the dunes of Erg Chegaga.

Breakfast and sunrise. Return to Marrakech by the old Paris-Dakar route. We will pass through a dry lake and an area of ​​fossils. We return through the Atlas to Marrakech. Transfer to accommodation or airport (flights after 6:00 p.m.).
