April 13: Towards the south of Morocco Marrakech - Alt Atles - Ouarzazate - Draa Valley - Tagounite

Pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech and start of the journey south. We will cross the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the highest point of the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass (2,260 m). At the foot of the mountain we will continue towards Ouarzazate and from there, travel through the Draa Valley, one of the most scenic routes in the country. We will pass through Zagora, the last city before entering the desert, and Tamgroute, where we will visit the green pottery cooperative. Finally, we will arrive in Tagounite, where we will spend the night.

April 14: Heading to the dunes of Erg Chegaga M'hamid - Sacred Oasis - Erg Chegaga

After breakfast, we will take a walk through some of the kasbahs surrounding the village of Tagounite. Then, we will continue our journey to M’hamid el Ghizlane, the last village before the asphalt ends and the desert track begins. For about three hours, we will travel off-road, crossing diverse landscapes: the hammada (stone desert), an oasis... until we reach the stunning dunes of Chegaga. There, a vast sea of sand awaits us, with dunes reaching up to 300 meters in height and stretching over 45 kilometers. Upon arrival, we will be welcomed with the traditional tea ceremony, a symbol of hospitality. We will have the opportunity to take a camel excursion before spending the night in a haima camp under a starry sky.

April 15: Crossing the desert to Ait Ben Haddou Erg Chegaga - Lake Iriki - Foum Zguid - Tazenakht - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou

After watching the sunrise, for those who wish, and having breakfast, we will resume our journey following the old route of the Paris-Dakar Rally. We will cross stunning desert landscapes and pass by Lake Iriki, surrounded by dunes and occasionally filled with water during certain times of the year. We will continue along the track until we reach Foum Zguid, where we will return to the paved road. From there, we will pass through Tazenakht and the High Atlas before arriving at the legendary Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will spend the night in a charming riad.

April 16: Return to Marrakech Ait Ben Haddou - Telouet - Marrakech

After a good breakfast, we will resume our journey, crossing the High Atlas through Telouet until we reach Marrakech, where we will drop you off at your accommodation or at the agreed-upon location.
